WSOP Almost Here

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is only six days away from starting.  Sunday May 27, 2012 starts the Las Vegas poker craze with the opening tournament of Casino Employees Tournament.  The WSOP festivities end July 9th, 2012 with the crowning of the November Nine and then in November the crowning of the 2012 WSOP Main Event Champion.

In an array of events and tournaments what tournament, what event, what player are you looking forward to seeing.  The $10,000 WSOP Main Event is the prize possession and most covenant prize poker players are looking to win.  The Main Event holds the biggest prize pool and the biggest tournament pay out of the year and crowned champion can lead to tremendous future success and fame, as well as a permanent spot in poker history.

How ever in the light of the Main Event being the biggest and most prized title, does the best players win or does this tournament determine who the best player in poker is in 2012?  In a field of over 500 players there are definite minefields and bombs and hands that can determine or eliminate the best players in the world.  Every gambler or gamer knows how to play poker.  The best and the most consistent rise to the top but sometime when playing cards determine the hand no matter how good the players.

The H.O.R.S.E event is the closest  tournament that determines the best players in the world.  The combination of Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, and Stud always for not your ordinary hold’em player or ordinary Omaha player to win.  A player must accompany all games and be well at all games to win.

Things to look forward to during this years WSOP: The number of players in the Main Event two years post black Friday, former Full Tilt sponsored players and their attendance, $1 Million One-Drop buy-in tournament, WSOP National Championship (NEW), if Phil Hellmuth can win another bracelet, and the next new poker phenomenon.
