NVC Representing At the WSOP

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the “Mecca” of poker tournaments around the world, held every year from May through July.  The best of the best poker players come from every nook and cranny around the world to play in the biggest buy-ins tournaments and against the best players in the world.  Winning in such a competition achieve players greatness, cash, and a memorable gold bracelet.  Although Napa Valley Casino is small in physical stature we represented well at the largest stage of poker.

Napa Valley Casino’s own Von Altizer took her game against the best in Event #22 – 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball and came out a winner.  The tournament seated 228 entries, including the professional poker players like David Baker, Max Pescatori, David Williams, Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matesow, David Benyamine and much more but none of them finished higher than Von Altizer.  Close to the end of Day 2 she was once tournament chip leader but before the day close she lost a huge pot dropping her down the standings.  After it was all said and done, and the chips finally down to zero out Von finished 7th Place among a tough field in a tough game.  Congratulation Von Altizer and best wishes in your next WSOP tournament event, represent NVC well.

The next NVC player that is playing in a WSOP event is a well known NVC tournament and cash game player named Wes.  Wes will be playing in Event #29 Seniors No-limit Hold’em.  The tournament begins this Friday and is a 3-Day Event.  Best of luck to Wes in his event, represent NVC well and bring back some cash and hardware.
